Have you fallen in love with coloring books? Show off your work with three easy ways to use coloring pages!
Hi, Ginnie from Hello Little Home here! If you are anything like me, you’ve fallen in love with coloring books. It’s such a fun, creative activity that’s super relaxing, too.
After you’re done coloring a page though, what do you do with it? Probably, move onto the next one. I know that’s what I do, but then I started to think that I should do something fun with my favorite pages instead.
Today, I’m sharing three easy ways to use coloring pages that you are going to love!
1. Frame It
If you’ve ever fallen in love with a finished coloring page, why not frame it? It’s a great way to show off a brightly colored piece! If you have a bunch of similar images from the same coloring book, you could even make a gallery wall.
There’s no need for an expensive framing job. Just buy a frame with a mat and pop in your beautiful art.
This hand print coloring page is a favorite of mine, and I love how it looks framed. Even my husband commented on it, and he didn’t realize it was from a coloring book until I told him!
2. Wrap a Present
Another easy way to use coloring pages is as wrapping paper.
Most pages are big enough to wrap a small present. If you are wrapping something larger though, scan the page first. Then, you can either blow up the scanned image at a copy center or seam a few prints of the image together.
Coloring pages can also be used to make gift tags or even a paper bow. Wouldn’t that be cute?
3. Make an Envelope
A cute envelope is the perfect touch for a special letter, and what could be more fun than receiving one that’s hand colored?
Envelopes are super simple to make. Just use an envelope template (Paper Source has a kit that I love), or take apart an envelope and trace around it. Cut out the envelope shape, then use double-sided tape to glue the edges together.
So easy, and since most coloring books have images on both sides, the inside of your envelope with have a fun image, too.
If your coloring page isn’t large enough to make a whole envelope, you could use it to create an envelope liner instead. Simply trim the page slightly smaller than the inside of your envelope, then hold it in place with double-sided tape.
By the way, if the thought of tearing apart your coloring books makes you sad, just make color copies of the pages before starting these projects.
I hope I’ve inspired you with these easy ways to use coloring pages! If you liked this post, check out some of my other ideas:
