The perfect vintage story book baby shower thrown for my sweet baby boy. See all of the picture perfect details below!
The Perfect Sip n See for Baby Boy
There are those times in life where you are just overwhelmed with emotion. The times where you look around and can’t believe that all this is just for you. That someone loves you enough to put an abundance of time, effort and love into something solely to celebrate your family. This was one of those times for me.
My dear friends Ashley and Robyn put together a shower to celebrate our new baby boy. To say it was perfect wouldn’t even do it justice! I have been telling Ashley she is a creative genius pretty much since I met her, and the level of detail and care put into this shower proves that again and again! I am so excited to share this amazing event with you and brag on my talented friends!
The theme couldn’t have been sweeter! Since this was baby number 3 and we decided not to find out the gender ahead of time, they went with a theme that is timeless and perfect for a baby boy or girl!
They decorated with touches of blue, green, cream with pops of color tied in perfectly. Classic story books were displayed elegantly around the space tied in with each separate area of the shower.
They threw the shower as a Sip ‘n See so that all of our friends would have a chance to meet the baby (no one told me I would have absolutely z-e-r-o time once I had the third baby so this would be the only time I saw all of my friends ever again… or at least for awhile!) The theme was great since it was gender neutral so they could start planning everything pre-baby. Then once they knew it was a sweet baby boy they added in details that made it perfect for a little man.
As with any party the food is at the top of my priority list! And not surprisingly, the menu was just as amazing as all of the other details! There was a white bean chili with all of the toppings, a delicious green salad, a smattering of appetizers, and Robyn even made one of my personal favorite recipes creamy tomato basil soup {Recipe HERE!}. I knew they spoke my love language though when I got a big slice of the chocolate bundt cake {Recipe HERE). Heaven! Oh and did you spy the hot chocolate with the chocolate covered marshmallow stir sticks? Love! Even the favors were perfectly coordinated baby blue candied popcorn in vintage look bags.
You might have seen the adorable book crate complete with his name painted on up above. The shower was full of these personalized details, but I had to save one of my favorites for last! A handmade custom sign showing off all of baby’s stats along with the location he was born. To make it even better it is all written in pilot terminology because every pilot daddy wants their son to grow up loving airplanes! All of the guests were able to sign the back to make it the perfect keepsake for remembering this special day! The only problem with it is that now I want one for my other two kids!
Ashley is so talented and recently opened her own Etsy shop selling custom made wooden signs. To order your own baby stat sign, or see all of the other custom (and absolutely adorable) creations you can check her out at Project Storyboard on Etsy or follow her on Instagram. Also use coupon code THANKFUL that will run through next week (11/26-12/5/14) to get an extra special deal on your handmade creation!
