As promised, I continuing with even more spinach artichoke goodness. We have had some serious yumminess going on here this week, and today we will just go ahead and keep on going with that. May I introduce you to Spinach Artichoke Cheesy Bread. It is perfect served as an appetizer or a makes a great compliment to a meal if you serve it as a side. There are so many ways to work this amazing little piece of food heaven into your menu!
Besides the sheer amazingness of how this spinach artichoke bread tastes, the next best thing about it is that you can whip it up in about 5 minutes plus cooking time. My favorite kind of recipe: quick and delicious! You will want to start with the leftovers of this Spinach Artichoke Dip we made last Monday. As I mentioned in the spinach artichoke grilled cheese recipe, you could go pick up a tub of spinach dip at the store to use in this recipe, but you would be doing your taste buds a grave disservice.
Next make sure you pick up a fresh loaf of french bread when you are at the market. You will split the bread in half and spread about 1 cup of the dip right onto each half. Next sprinkle each half with about 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.
Place the halves on a cookie sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees F for 12 minutes, then if you want the top to be a bit more browned, broil for an additional 2 minutes.
After you remove the bread let it sit and cool for a couple of minutes and then slice that baby up! Like I said, this will disappear in no time flat as an appetizer, it makes a fabulous side dish, or get a little crazy and dip it in my favorite creamy tomato basil soup!
