This list is PACKED with the best gift ideas for a 4 year old girl. Searching for gifts for kids can be so hard, especially with so many different interests that four year olds can have. These tried and true gifts cover everything from birthdays, Christmas and everything in between. Some are more expensive and big gifts and some are inexpensive and very affordable, so there is a perfect gift to fit every budget. These ideas are shared from two moms with 6 kids between us and aren’t scientific, just comprised of things we know our kids would be super excited to receive as gifts.
Best Gift Ideas for a 4 year old Girl!
I feel like 4yr old girl’s are such a fun age, and they are really using their imagination to the max. They live in the world of fantasy and pretend play. They are learning how to be little mothers and pick up characteristics at such a young age.
I loved when my little girl was at this stage because she seemed to love every gift she opened and was excited about it. I feel like kids at this age are really figuring out what they like, so buying for them is fairly easy because they love to try new things and explore their world. My girl’s Christmas lists are always changing according to whats new and exciting to them at the moment.
Best Gifts for 4 year olds who Love Dolls & Stuffed Animals
I love watching little girls treat their baby dolls like real life babies. You can never go wrong with a doll for a girl. If you’re up for a little mess the Baby Alive dolls are great in teaching you girl how to properly change a “poopy” diaper. I feel like little girls love to pretend to mom things and taking care of her baby the way mom does is one of them. Barbies are always a good buy for little girls as well. Every little girl seems to use her barbies and babies for a long time. My little girl is 8 years old and still plays with her barbies and babies.

Best Gifts for 4 year olds who love Arts & Crafts
It’s always fun to let your child use their imagination and create a masterpiece. Kinetic Sand is a great gift if you don’t like to deal with messes. Play-doh is a little messier but my kids LOVE playing with it. I just keep all of the supplies in a Tupperware and let them play with it in the kitchen where it’s easier to clean up. I have to tell myself that I need to just let my kids be kids and make messes sometimes.
The fairy garden is my little girl’s favorite gift she ever received. Sometimes I have a love/hate relationship with crafts but theses sets are easy to use and clean up fairly easy as well. My little girls room is always filled with projects and masterpieces she has created.

Best Gifts for 4 Year Olds that Love to Play Pretend
I love hearing little girl’s giggle and play as they dress up like princess’s or superhero’s. I also love seeing little girls in Princess dresses. It’s so cute to hear your little one dancing and singing at the top of her lungs about being a princess. My little girl also loves wearing her princess dress every time we go to Disney.
Another toy that is used a lot is the tea set. My little girl loves to set up tea parties for her and her friends. If her friends aren’t around she sets up tea parties for all of her stuffed animals. She loves all of her animals so this happens frequently.

Best Gifts for 4 year olds who Love Building
I know LEGO’s can be a headache and pain to clean, but kids LOVE them. My kids never get tired of their LEGO’s and they can play for hours and hours. My kids love to build houses and lands with their lego’s.
I used to care if they mixed up sets but once I realized they were using so much creativity every time they build something I started just combing the sets and separating them by color. You can even get a binder and file all of the instructions in it so they don’t get lost and the kids can find them again as their collection grows.
I also LOVE Picasso Tiles. They are PERFECT for this age, well worth your money, and you will never regret buying them. Anybody that plays at our house always plays with those almost the whole time. You will not be disappointed in this purchase and you will find yourself buying these as birthday gifts for others.

Best Electronic Gifts for a 4 Year Old
At this age I feel like the consumer world pushes leap pads on kids. My personal opinion is they are a bit pricey for the small amount of time kids stay interested in them. Each game cost upwards of $5 and my kids usually only read them once.
I think that spending a bit more on an iPad, a Galaxy tab, or Kindle is more worth your money in the long run. There are so many different apps and games to download for free. You can also store and download movies for your travels. If you are planning ahead, watch Black Friday for some REALLY great deals on tablets for kids.
I would highly recommend definitely buying a case for your device. Our iPads have been dropped numerous times and we have been able to avoid them breaking by getting a great kids case.

Best Gift Ideas for 4 Year Old Girl Who LOVES the Outdoors
Some of these toys are a little more pricey but are perfect for a big gift because they last for a long time. As far as the bikes go I posted a high quality bike that would last a while and may be able to be passed down through kids, and a little more affordable bike still good quality that would be work as well. Riding bikes is one our favorite things to do after school when the weather cools down a bit.
My kids also love going outside with sidewalk chalk or bubbles, and these make great smaller gifts or stocking stuffers. If you have a great big tree this swing would be so fun to have. Our friends have this swing and my kids love going over to their house.
